FROM MARRAKECH TO FEZ VIA DUNES, KASBAHS
Marhabibik and welcome to the south - one of the most spectacular Morocco regions! Crossing the overwhelming High Atlas pass Tizi n´Tichka and following the road south will take you centuries back when caravans passed there on their way to Timbuktu to trade metals and jewellery with gold and often also black slaves.
You will explore the ancient ksar and kasbahs, learn about the clay house architecture of the intertwined villages and drive through one of the most spectacular roads in the world.
Finally, after two days of impressions you will arrive in the Merzouga sand dunes, take your camel and ride towards a nomad camp to enjoy the silence, colours and sky full of stars. The last day will take you through oasis and cedar forests to Fez once called “the Athens of Africa” for the numerous mosques and madrassas.
